ABOUT THE OWNER
Welcome to Divinity Scent Bar. My name is Jessica and I am the business owner. As a teenager I struggled with oily skin and acne breakouts. My skin cleared up as an adult, but then I became the mother of a college daughter and son experiencing the same struggle, plus 1 toddler son with eczema. I began to research ways on how to help them with their skin issues. During my research I studied all-natural healing products and that’s where my passion for natural skincare began. Once my products started reaching friends and family and they were loving it, I knew I was embarking onto something bigger. I began to take learning everything I needed to know very seriously and quickly enrolled in a natural skincare formulation school. During the same time, my daughter was writing a blog called The Divine Female. She's a writer by nature and our conversations around women empowerment and divine love were endless. We instantly knew that we were going to incorporate those beliefs into our products and so Divinity Scent Bar was born.
We are a company that specializes in handmade candles, soaps and skincare. We make our products in small batches and we pride ourselves in handcrafting them with high performing quality oils, butters and plant-based extracts. We believe that personal care should be safe yet still fun and indulging. All of Divinity Scent Bar’s facial products including facial soaps are 100% natural, and while most of our products are all natural, we like to have fun with our bath & body products which contain skin-safe additives for performance, aesthetics and fragrance. When it comes to ingredients overall, we search for wild-harvested and/or sustainable manufacturing.
Giving back to the community is at the core belief system of Divinity Scent Bar. We believe in donating products to women and children in need. We are a company that donates quarterly to non-profit organizations. We contribute to What About Our Daughters for SisterHood Inc., which focuses on helping and supporting motherless, fatherless or homeless daughters. We also donate soaps to www.fromnaturewithlove.com which directs these donations to domestic violence shelters The Prudence Crandall Center and The Umbrella. Whether big or small, we hope that our gesture helps to brighten someone’s day while encouraging others to do the same.
